<p>A gorgeous blend of Italy and Norfolk, The Corkscrew Restaurant and Wine Bar on St. Benedicts Street is a real hidden gem. Ok so you can&#8217;t pick what you want to eat per se, the menu is set with a selection of stunning small dishes (which change daily) served over five mouthwatering courses. The restaurant itself is rustic chic and space is limited which is why this is one of the hottest tables in town. Brought to you by Chef Patron, Michelin Star-Multi AA Rosette trained Samuel Beggi, The Corkscrew will certainly leave you wanting more.</p>

<p>Having made it into the pages of the prestigious Michelin guide and received the praise of food writer Giles Coren, it’s fair to say Socius, in Burnham Market, is a go-to for foodies. Owners Dan and Natalie have curated a collection of small plates which celebrates Norfolk’s amazing produce, including loads of great veggie options. Socius might mean ‘sharing’ in Latin, but we definitely won’t be judging if you keep a few to yourself (especially when there&#8217;s burrata to be had).</p>

<p>Inspired by the family-run tascas of Portugal, Jorge’s Restaurant serves a superb selection of seasonal tapas at lunchtimes encompassing meat, seafood, vegan and veggie options (the desserts are not to be missed either), perfect for leisurely lunching. Come evening the menu gives way to some insanely delicious meat and seafood – the charcoal-roasted octopus and black Iberian pork are frankly unmissable. Plus the selection of Portuguese wines is top notch too. </p>

<p>There’s a lot to love about upmarket pub The Suffield Arms. It’s owned by renowned art dealer Ivor Braka which means, like at its fab sister pub The Gunton Arms, you can expect sumptuous surroundings, edgy art and top notch food. It’s a Mediterranean menu, with cured meats and tapas classics like padron peppers, jamon croquetas and chorizo with rioja and honey. Even better, it’s just across the road from Gunton train station, meaning no-one has to be designated driver. Hurrah! </p>

<p>The name of the game at Golden Triangle institution Blue Joanna is Asian-style street food and cool cocktails (we’ll be having the Guava Tom Collins, please). Its menu is full of Korean blue tacos and small plates like Korean barbecue chicken wings, crispy pork belly and corn nachos with butterbean, miso and chilli. Better still, everything is gluten and dairy-free. Swing by to listen to live music and gaze enviously at its impressive vinyl record collection. </p>

<p>Are there many more up and coming foodie spots in Norfolk than Aylsham? Cocktail bar M’s serves a fab tapas menu with mouthwatering morsels including beef meatballs and scallops with bacon and butter sauce. That’s alongside a menu of classic cocktails and local beers and wines.</p>

<p>Don Txoko was inspired by travels around Galicia and the Basque Country, where there’s delicious food galore. Ingredients, both Spanish and local, are cooked over coals, including seriously amazing steaks and whole fish. Though there are bigger main dishes, there’s also tapas, including hand carved Iberian jamón, croquettes and gambas ajillo (juicy prawns swimming in garlicky oil). </p>

<p>If you’re looking to get your tapas fill on the east coast, head to The Shed on Gorleston quay, where Mediterranean tapas takes centre stage. Since first opening its doors in 2014, it’s become a popular local spot, serving everything from padron peppers and baked feta with honey to Kefalonian beef stew stifado. Its waterside home means you won’t find a better spot to tuck into your tapas.</p>
