<p>Whisk yourself off to Montmartre (no passport required) at the <em>Amélie</em> French Supper Club at <strong>The Assembly House</strong>. Inspired by the whimsical world of <em>Amélie</em>, this is pure escapism: we&#8217;re talking candlelight, French chansons, and the comforting aroma of garlic and thyme in the air. On the menu? All the best bistro classics &#8211; French onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, macarons &#8211; with a few playful nods to Amélie’s quirky charm (cracking the top of a crème brûlée, naturally). It’s communal dining at its most joyful, where strangers become friends over seriously good food and a shared love of all things très délicieux. </p>

<p>If you like your supper clubs with a side of wow-factor, bag a seat at The Danube Table at Wolterton Hall. Set in the swoon-worthy East Wing, this intimate dining experience (just 12 seats – you’ve been warned) kicks off with an aperitif before guests gather around the Regency table for a four-course feast. <em>Master Chef</em> pro, Enikő Fejér, is diving deep into her Hungarian roots, serving up Eastern European flavours you rarely see on Norfolk menus &#8211; comforting, soulful dishes reimagined with a modern twist. It’s cosy, convivial and just a little bit special: come for the food, stay for the stories, and leave feeling like you’ve discovered something seriously under-the-radar.</p>

<p>Held in a giant tipi aglow with candlelight, these relaxed supper clubs near King’s Lynn are hosted by a husband and wife team, Caroline and Matthew of Owsley-Brown Catering, in the grounds of their home. They have a series of themed events throughout the year, each with a set menu inspired by world travel and fine ingredients such as Norfolk Wagyu, Peruvian dishes and Mediterranean. Dine at long wooden tables seating between 6 and 12, with deer-hide covered benches. The food is seasonal, using their own homegrown herbs and veg, and it’s BYO (no corkage charge). </p>

<p>Kick off the weekend in style at the Friday Supper Club at Flint Vineyard. Set in a dreamy candlelit barn (yes, it’s as gawjus as it sounds), this is communal dining done properly. Chef Alex Firman (35+ years in the game &#8211; he knows his stuff) serves up six seasonal sharing plates bursting with local flavour, sourcing from the likes of Marsh Pig, Fen Farm Dairy and Sunday Charcuterie. April’s line-up?  Potted shrimp, melt-in-the-mouth overnight lamb shoulder and a zingy hit of rhubarb. Menus shift with the seasons, the vibe is relaxed but seriously delicious &#8211; and the wine’s spot-on too! Come hungry, bring mates, and prepare to linger.</p>

<p>Fancy supper in another vineyard? (we know ask a silly question!). Set among the barrels in the winery of the award-winning Burn Valley Vineyard, the not-so- secret Secret Suppers are a proper foodie treat. The six course-tasting menus are paired with Burn Valley Wines, or there’s the option to add a wine flight. Each supper is kept at 40 people, dining at long banquet-style tables.</p>

<p>For a spring lunch with serious foodie credentials, nab a spot at A Taste of Spring at <strong>Wolterton Hall</strong>. This isn’t just a meal &#8211; it’s dinner and a show (well, lunch and a show) as chef Loïc Malfait, former Le Cordon Bleu bigwig, cooks right alongside you. Expect a front-row seat to some serious culinary wizardry as he demos techniques, shares insider tips and plates up a seasonal menu celebrating the best of local produce. You’ll dine as you go, with each course freshly prepped and explained &#8211; equal parts delicious and enlightening. Intimate, interactive and just a little bit fancy, this is one for those who like their lunch with a side of savoir-faire.</p>

<p>Fancy a supper club with a side of scandal? The Mask of a Murderer at The Assembly House is serving up high drama alongside your dinner. Set at a decidedly chaotic masked 50th birthday bash (hosted by a rather unfortunate high-flying lawyer), this immersive murder mystery from Dreamstone Productions throws you straight into the action &#8211; questionable costumes, hidden identities and plenty of suspects &#8211; trust no one. The evening kicks off with cocktails and canapés before a three-course, 1970s-inspired feast on communal tables, with the plot thickening between courses and a finale that promises plenty of twists. </p>
