Norwich&#8217;s food scene is showing no signs of slowing down, with not one but&nbsp;two exciting new openings&nbsp;to get on your radar.

First up, all eyes are on <a href="https://www.thenorthwic.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Northwic</a>, the hotly anticipated new restaurant from former Store head chef <a href="https://www.instagram.com/liamnichols_chef/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Liam Nichols</a>. Liam helped steer STORE in Stoke Holy Cross to its Michelin star before appearing on Great British Menu, so we were a bit gutted to see him leave a couple of years ago to head off travelling. The good news? He&#8217;s back in our neck of the woods, and his new venture is taking over the former Biddy&#8217;s Tea Room site on Lower Goat Lane later this year. If early teasers on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thenorthwic/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Instagram</a> are anything to go by, diners can expect an intimate space with an open kitchen and what looks set to be a tasting menu. Watch this space – we have a feeling tables are going to be in high demand.

Just around the corner, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DZKIZVhGR6q/?img_index=3" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bread Source</a> is expanding once again with the launch of The Stock Room, a new deli-meets-wine bar opening next to its Upper St Giles bakery. Expect artisan cheeses, freshly sliced charcuterie, sharing plates and a self-serve wine tasting system (yes, really), alongside shelves stocked with the bakery&#8217;s favourite ingredients, local pantry staples and its own Buzzing Coffee. In short? Exactly the sort of place you&#8217;ll pop into for a loaf of sourdough and somehow leave with wine, cheese and dinner sorted too.



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-in-beauty-news">In beauty news&#8230;</h2>



It&#8217;s all happening on Norfolk&#8217;s beauty scene, with a gorgeous new boutique, a Scandi-inspired salon concept and an exciting new venture from two familiar Muddy faces.

First up, <a href="https://www.norfolknaturalliving.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Norfolk Natural Living</a> is opening a brand-new store in Norwich this August and, frankly, we can&#8217;t wait. Since launching in 2019, Bella Middleton&#8217;s beautifully scented range of natural home and body products has become something of a cult favourite (our homes have smelt infinitely better ever since). The new shop, tucked away on Bridewell Alley in the heart of the Norwich Lanes, joins the brand&#8217;s growing collection of stores, including Holt and Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk. Better still, the soft launch on <a href="https://www.norfolknaturalliving.com/pages/norwich-store-1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Friday 14 August</a> promises complimentary hand and arm massages, refreshments and free gifts between 10am and 5pm. Meanwhile, over on Pottergate, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/nrdflk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Norðfolk</a> is giving the traditional salon a serious glow-up. Created by husband-and-wife hairdressing duo Sam and Paul Taylor-Bird, it&#8217;s part hair studio, part speciality coffee bar and part wellness space, all wrapped up in effortlessly cool Scandinavian-inspired interiors. The idea? Somewhere you actually want to hang out before or after your appointment, rather than rushing straight back out the door. Coffee, calm vibes and great hair? Sounds like a winning combination to us.
