Located on top of a brutalist 1970s office block, the <strong>Rooftop Gardens</strong> has 360-degree panoramic views of the city’s best landmarks – spot the Cathedral, Castle and Carrow Road while selecting your drink. Famed for its slick cocktails, it’s fab for foodies too, with everything from posh afternoon teas and bottomless brunches to Sunday roasts and a swanky à la carte menu. DJs are often on hand to bring the tunes, and there’s heaters and a retractable cover so you won’t get caught in any summer showers.</p>

<p>The pretty, wisteria clad terrace at <strong>The Globe Inn</strong> is the hottest seat in town when the sun shines, even better after a lovely amble by the coast. The area is spacious and good enough for the gram but tables are first come first serve so make sure to pitch up early to make the most of the evening sun. </p>

Owned by renowned London art dealer Ivor Braka (who’s also behind fellow Muddy fave The Gunton Arms), it’s all about Mediterranean sharing feasts, cool interiors and edgy art at this north Norfolk beauty. Hotfoot it upstairs to the sumptuous Saloon Bar and head out on its roof area, where you can take in the far-reaching views of the rolling countryside as the pub’s mixologists whip up a fruity number from the cocktail menu – we’re having the Tommy&#8217;s Margarita, please!&nbsp;</p>

<p>Just on the edge of Norwich (a couple of minutes from the A47, so an ideal rendezvous point), the <strong>Oak Bar</strong> has a spacious terrace overlooking its gardens with heated umbrellas to keep you toasty and dry. Local is the name of the game, with over 20 Norfolk gins, as well as local vinos and spirits behind the bar and a hearty Norfolk brekkie served every day. Its terrace menu is packed with big hitters like beef tomahawk cooked over charcoal and its popular fruits de mer and fries platter. </p>

<p>A great spot to set up camp for an evening of tunes and tipples, <strong>Gonzo’s </strong>twinkling rooftop terrace is pretty sizable despite being bang slap in the middle of the city centre. Think DJs, clever cocktails, slushies and a street-food menu (we can’t resist the mega burgers and seriously good wings). Walk-ins only, so grab your table early. It’s a fab all-rounder, but we reckon it’s perfect for a catch-up with the girls or a fun first date. There are manually operated heaters that belt out some serious warmth for cooler days.</p>

For a special occasion, go for its popular afternoon tea with a glass of champers or one of its cool cocktail trees. When you’re done, you’re just a stone’s throw from the seafront for a mooch along the beach.&nbsp;</p>

The <strong>Sunset Wine Bar</strong> at Sunny Hunny’s lovely Princess Theatre has stonking views over the pier and the coast, which you can soak in as you sip on something bubbly and reach for the selfie stick. They don’t serve food, but you can pick up a portion of fish and chips from Fishers just down the road and tuck into it on the terrace. Count us in! </p>
