<p>Big news at <a href="https://www.instagram.com/sheringhamlittletheatre/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Sheringham Little Theatre</a>! BAFTA-winning actress&nbsp;Suranne Jones (pictured), star of <em>Vigil</em>, <em>Gentleman Jack</em> and <em>Doctor Foster</em>, is bringing a sprinkle of stardust to the seaside town as she has just been announced as the new theatre president. She posted on her <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C3ONrvpLRDm/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Instagram account</a>: &#8220;When we first visited the area I was excited to see Sheringham still had The Little Theatre and it wasn’t long before we started coming along. Theatre in rural areas is so important, not only for audiences to see shows they may not be able to easily access, but also for young people who may not have an outlet for their creativity.&#8221; </p>

<p>The 40 most exciting cities around the world right now? Athens, L.A., Munich, Gothenburg&#8230; and Norwich, of course! According to <a href="https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/these-are-the-40-most-exciting-cities-to-visit-in-2024-b998z5g35" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><em>The Times</em></a>, these are the cities abuzz with exciting events this year &#8211; including the much-anticipated reopening of <a href="https://www.museums.norfolk.gov.uk/norwich-castle" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Norwich Castle</a>&#8216;s Norman Keep this summer. It&#8217;s been a five-year £13m project to rebuild missing floors and introduce the British Museum&#8217;s first medieval gallery outside London, bringing treasures of international importance to Norwich.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.instagram.com/tatlers_norwich/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tatlers</a> is back! Having been a much-loved stalwart of the local dining scene, the Tombland restaurant has been quiet for some time, but with a little culinary magic from top chef-owner Femi Abodunde the luxe dining spot has sprung back to life with a relaunch. <a href="https://www.opentable.co.uk/r/tatlers-norwich" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Race you to a table.</a></p>



<p>North Norfolk restaurant <a href="https://www.morstonhall.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Morston Hall</a> is not only celebrating retaining its Michelin star status for a whopping 25 years, but also its reopening after an extensive refurb during January, which includes a new bar with mixologist at the ready, open all day. <p><a href="https://www.break-charity.org/gogo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Break</a> charity&#8217;s latest GoGo trail has just been unveiled. Summer 2025 will see five animals &#8211; lions, gorillas, giraffes, elephants and rhinos &#8211; stalking and stomping their way into the county for the <a href="https://www.break-charity.org/gogo/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">GoGo Safari</a> sculpture trail. Who needs the Serengeti, hey? Since 2013, there have been 284 sculptures which have raised more than £1.4m for Break&#8217;s work across East Anglia making life better for young people on the edge of care, in care and leaving care. An exciting new music festival <a href="https://revelfestival.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">REVEL</a> is taking over&nbsp;Fakenham Racecourse on <strong>Sat 27 Jul</strong>, with brilliant live band The Feeling headlining. There’ll also be local street food vendors and bars brimming with Norfolk drinks. The festival is for over 18s only, from 5pm to midnight. <p>Loosen your waistbands in anticipation because a new food festival is hitting Hunstanton on <strong>Sun 17 March</strong>. The <a href="https://norfolk-deli.co.uk/pages/wnfdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">West Norfolk Seasonal Food and Drink Festival</a> will be a quarterly event showcasing a variety of local food producers. Taste some brilliant food and then visit the beach just 5mins away with its famous striped cliffs. A perfect day out, I say. Norwich Cathedral&#8217;s super-popular annual open-air <a href="https://cathedral.org.uk/shakespeare/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Shakespeare Festival</a> is welcoming back all-male theatre company The Lord Chamberlain&#8217;s Men who will be performing <em>Hamlet</em> in the cloisters on <strong>Thu 4 &amp; Fri 5 Jul</strong>. <p>The owners of sushi and ramen bar <a href="https://www.soyokazerestaurant.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Soyokaze</a> on St Giles Street, Norwich, have put it up for sale after seven years of delighting tastebuds with their traditionally made dishes. </p>



<p>And it&#8217;s not quite farewell from these three. Cool city spot <a href="https://www.theearlham.net" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Earlham</a> is closing as a pub, but will be available to hire for events, with sister pub The Black Horse&nbsp;still going strong. Holt lifestyle shore <a href="https://www.norfolkingaround.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Norfolking Around</a> may be closing but the online shop is getting a refresh with lots more products added. Finally, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/leopardboutiqueltd/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Leopard Boutique</a> in Hoveton is closing but will be moving to a mystery new location &#8211; all to be revealed soon.</p>
