<p>Follow a wooded walkway to this family-run farm in North Norfolk and you’ll be greeted by thousands of pumpkins (priced by size) ready for picking. There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained, from a hay bale tower and maize maze to vintage machinery, face painting, spooky music, a Halloween shop, and <a href="https://www.pumpkinhouse.co.uk/halloween" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">special seasonal events</a>. Four-legged friends on leads are welcome, and a pop-up café will be serving hot drinks, pumpkin cake, and hearty pumpkin soup. Need shelter from the inevitable October chill? Head to the covered barn. Open <strong>Sat 11 &amp; Sun 12 Oct</strong>, <strong>Sat 18 &amp; Sun 19 Oct</strong>, and daily from <strong>Fri 24 – Fri 31 Oct</strong>, <strong>10am–4pm</strong>. No booking required, and entry and parking are free (some activities carry a small charge).</p>

<p>Church Farm Pumpkins and its super selection of squashes &#8211; giant, mini, orange, white, smooth and warty &#8211; are back with a bang from Sat 11 Oct. Always a great day out, once you&#8217;ve twisted your favourite off the vine, tuck into street food snacks (this year courtesy of <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thenest_northnorfolk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Nest</a>) and don&#8217;t forget to pap a pic on the tractor. <p>One of the best things about a good pumpkin patch (aside from the fun of picking the perfect Jack-o-Lantern candidate) is the Insta opportunities &#8211; so we love that this PYO has an on-site photographer to capture your kiddos in their element on the weekends. <p>If you&#8217;re really picky about your pumpkin, head to this five acre patch where there are over 20 varieties to choose from, including pale pink, blue and cream. Once you&#8217;ve snagged a suitable squash, celebrate with a spooky hot chocolate whilst the kids enjoy creepy cookie decorating, scary storytime, undercover carving and crafts, ghostly woodland scavenger hunt, face painting and witches potions. <p>This year, Wroxham Barns are opening up their 10-acre pumpkin patch to everyone over the weekends <strong>from Sat 11 Oct</strong>. It&#8217;s free to enter with pumpkins priced by size, there will also be face painting, crafts, photo ops, snacks and a pumpkin carving station (woohoo no mess at home!). And if you can&#8217;t visit Wroxham Barns without stopping by to see the donkeys and other cute critters, tickets start at £9 per child. Open 10am &#8211; 3pm, <strong>Sat 11 &amp; Sun 12 Oct, Sat 18 &#8211; Sun 19 Oct</strong> and <strong>Sat 25 &#8211; Fri 31 Oct.</strong></p>

<p>We&#8217;re happy to see this quirky patch between Cromer and Aylsham return for a sixth year &#8211; not least because you can pick up some fab gifts from some of Norfolk&#8217;s best indies at nearby <a href="https://www.albycrafts.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Alby Crafts &amp; Gardens</a> while you&#8217;re there. It&#8217;s free to park; simply select your squash (priced by size), keeping an eye out for the resident peacocks while you do, and then finish off your day with a delicious treat from the varying street food stalls. Open weekends in October from <strong>Sat</strong> <strong>11 &amp; Sun 12 Oct</strong>, then every day during half term until <strong>Fri 31 Oct</strong>, <strong>10am to 4.30pm</strong>. Dogs are allowed. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-pulham-patch-pulham-market"><a href="https://www.pulhampatch.co.uk/pumpkin-patch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Pulham Patch</a>, Pulham Market</h2>



<p><a href="https://www.pulhampatch.co.uk/pumpkin-patch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Pulham Patch</a> is open every weekend in October and throughout half term. There&#8217;s over 25 different varieties to choose from, wheelbarrows to carry your hoards of gourds, hay bales to climb and tractors to ride as well as a sand pit, craft ark and mud kitchen for the kids to play in. Food is available from Katherine&#8217;s Kitchen. You&#8217;ll need to purchase tickets before you pick (£2 for children aged 2-18 years, £1 for adults) with pumpkins charged afterwards by size and weight.</p>

<p>As well as traditional pumpkin PYO, there&#8217;s plenty of edible squash to sink your teeth into at Algy&#8217;s plus recipe leaflets to show you how to make the most of them. Open from <strong>Wed 1 Oct</strong>, <strong>10am &#8211; 4pm</strong>. No need to pre-book, just turn up and grab a wheelbarrow. Pumpkins are priced by size starting at 75p (cash or card accepted). Hot drinks available, with hot food also on offer at weekends and during half term. Dogs welcome (as is fancy dress!).</p>

<p>The popular pumpkin patch at this farm shop and PYO is back again this year, with picking open 10am-4pm <strong>every October weekend</strong> and then daily for half term (ideal if you&#8217;ve left it &#8217;til the last minute). It&#8217;s free to enter the field and you don&#8217;t have to book, simply pay for your pumpkins by size. Dogs on leads are welcome too, to help you sniff out the best squash. </p>
