<p>Move over, Norwich Cocktail Week &#8211; it’s time for the Fine City’s gastronomic greats to take centre stage.&nbsp;<a href="https://norwichfoodweek.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Norwich Food Week</a> makes its debut from <strong>Fri 27 Feb – Sun 8 Mar</strong>, serving up a ten-day showcase of the very best bites in town. With more than 40 restaurants, cafés, bars and venues taking part, it’s a city-wide celebration of all things delicious &#8211; and the perfect excuse to grab a mate or a date and book that table.</p>



<p>Each participating venue has created special menus and exclusive offers priced between £5 and £35, making it easier than ever to taste your way around town. Whether you’re craving authentic Italian pasta, relaxed neighbourhood favourites or refined plates from award-winning kitchens, there’s something to suit every appetite and budget.</p>

<p>A regular in the Michelin and Good Food Guides, Benedicts has been one of Norwich’s most celebrated dining spots since opening in 2015. At the helm is local chef Richard Bainbridge, who honed his craft at Michel Roux’s three-Michelin-starred Waterside Inn before winning Great British Menu in 2015 &#8211; and bringing that fine-dining pedigree back to his home city. The restaurant strikes that sweet spot between relaxed and refined: unfussy yet elegant, with a focus on exceptional ingredients and confident, seasonal cooking. Expect thoughtfully crafted dishes showcasing fresh fish, quality cuts of meat and vibrant seasonal vegetables, all plated with precision but never pretension. <p>Calling all carnivores! <a href="https://brixandbones.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Brix and Bones</a> has brought serious firepower to Norwich’s dining scene. Led by chef George Wood, this 50-seat hotspot has earned national praise for its bold, flame-led cooking and globally inspired flavours, all delivered with a touch of theatre. At its heart, this is cooking in its most elemental form. Wood and his team harness open flames and glowing coals to create smoke-kissed dishes that feel both primal and refined. The influence of global travels runs through the menu, while a strong commitment to sustainability keeps things grounded closer to home &#8211; with carefully sourced local produce, organic ingredients and the occasional foraged flourish. For Norwich Food Week, Brix &amp; Bones is offering a three-course lunch menu for £35 &#8211; the perfect excuse to experience one of the city’s most exciting kitchens</p>

<p>For a relaxed, casual vibe, few places hit the mark like the two-time Muddy Award-winning Harry’s Soul Station. What started as the hugely popular street food venture Harry’s Soul Train has now found a permanent home on Adelaide Street &#8211; and it’s just as much a cocktail lover’s playground as a comfort food haven. For Norwich Food Week, the menu is pure soul-food vibes: choose from breakfast burger and fries, a mega meat sharing platter, or mighty mini loaded hash browns &#8211; all hearty, satisfying dishes perfect for sharing (or not!). </p>

<p>Proof that dessert deserves its own spotlight, Figbar is the sophisticated older sister of the traditional pudding parlour. This is where sweet treats get the fine-dining treatment &#8211; think elegant dessert platters paired with carefully chosen wines, and an artful selection of cakes and tarts that look <em>almost</em> too good to eat. Behind the creations is a pastry chef with seriously impressive credentials, having worked with the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Yotam Ottolenghi &#8211; and it shows in the precision, balance and creativity of every plate. For Norwich Food Week, the indulgence ramps up with some seriously tempting offers: a Snickers-inspired dessert paired with sherry for £15, an Assiette sharing plate for two at £30, or the signature tasting menu for £30. And if you’re tempted by all three? Absolutely no judgement here.</p>

<p>Arguably home to the best sandwiches in Norwich &#8211; we will fight you on this, Bodega is a firm Muddy favourite and a go-to foodie pitstop around the market. Known for its stuffed-to-the-bushels, New York-inspired creations, it never fails to bring serious oomph to a lunchtime sarnie or snack break. For Norwich Food Week, Bodega is serving up a showstopper: the £5 prawn toast hash brown sarnie &#8211; a crispy hash brown piled high with juicy prawns, chilli mayo, garlic breadcrumbs and spring onions. We&#8217;re salivating already. </p>

<p>Choices, choices &#8211; and plenty of them &#8211; await at The WinePress, the stunning courtyard restaurant at the Maids Head Hotel. Holder of two AA rosettes, it’s known for modern, seasonal menus that celebrate the very best of local produce. For Norwich Food Week, you can pick a two-course set menu for £30, a three-course menu for £35, or even indulge in a full afternoon tea, also for £35. With its beautifully sheltered courtyard and heaters to keep things cosy on chillier days, this is the perfect spot to savour top-quality dishes in a relaxed, stylish setting.</p>
