<p>After an absolute belter of a debut this summer, the <a href="https://www.rocknrollcircus.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus</a> is back for round two &#8211; and it’s set to be bigger, bolder, and even more spectacular when it returns to <strong>Earlham Park</strong> <strong>Fri 21 &#8211; Sun 23 Aug 2026</strong>. Blending the energy of a live music festival with the jaw-dropping thrills of a contemporary circus, Rock ‘n’ Roll Circus is no ordinary event, we&#8217;re talking high-flying acrobatics, dazzling performances, and a seriously impressive line-up. </p>



<p>And speaking of the line-up… can we get a drumroll please? Mike Skinner &#8211; aka The Streets &#8211; has just been announced as the first headliner! That’s right, the soundtrack to your millennial dreams is coming to <strong>Norwich</strong>. <a href="https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/1F006348B7C87C2C" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tickets are already flying</a>, so you’ll want to be quick if you fancy reliving <em>Dry Your Eyes</em>, <em>Fit But You Know It</em> and more anthems under the big top. More acts and surprises are set to be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled &#8211; this one’s shaping up to be unmissable.</p>

<p>North Norfolk is stepping into the spotlight once again as filming will soon be underway for a shiny new BBC drama, <em>But When We Dance</em>. This moving story follows two people brought together by shared struggles and unexpected connection &#8211; including their experience of living with Parkinson’s. The series stars two iconic Noughties legends from <em>Notting Hill</em> and <em>Love Actually</em> in the lead roles *screams* Rhys Ifans and *screams harder* Laura Linney! They will be joined by Rory Kinnear and Monica Dolan with further cast members to be announced soon. </p>

<p>Well, we’ll drink to this! For the first time in its 70-year history, <a href="https://www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk/best-of/100-best-pubs-2025#" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Good Food Guide</a> has uncorked a list of the UK’s 100 Best Pubs – and Norfolk’s absolutely smashing it. Four of our finest watering holes have made the cut, all landing in the top 50 (we’ll take that, thank you very much). Leading the pack is the ever-fabulous <a href="https://www.theguntonarms.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Gunton Arms</a>, claiming a very respectable 19th place – no surprise to anyone who’s ever tucked into a venison chop by the fire there. Next up, <a href="https://www.whitehorseholme.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The White Horse</a> in Holme-next-the-Sea has stormed in at 31st, an impressive feat considering it only reopened under new management just over a year ago. And rounding off the Norfolk roll call, <a href="https://norfolk.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/the-bell-brisley/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Brisley Bell</a> cheers from 47th, closely followed by <a href="https://www.whitehorsebrancaster.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The White Horse</a> in Brancaster Staithe, which nabbed 50th spot. Well done everyone!</p>

<p>Wellness warriors, listen up, big news on the horizon! After a sizzling year of steamy sessions and social saunas, <a href="https://www.thelionsdennorwich.com/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaceFg3_Zb2s-gGusGUDi4vSdKvnqFF06XtqMpVwfUFuGIrpXDRQ8NZx23g9Tw_aem_vOq8JpsuUD5296mdWBWj8g" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Lions&#8217; Den</a> is expanding with a new site in the heart of Norwich city centre. This next-level wellness hub will feature cold plunges, a studio for yoga and Pilates classes, a healthy café and zero-alcohol bar, plus plenty of sauna action. There will be three saunas in total: two 15-person beauties up on the rooftop (with <em>that</em> view) and one larger 25-person indoor sauna that’ll double up as a dreamy event space. The opening date is still under wraps (keep your eyes peeled <a href="https://www.instagram.com/thelionsdennorwich/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a> for more info), but while you wait, you can get your sweat on and take a dip at their Muddy Award–winning Bishopgate site.</p>

A new hub for music lovers, it’ll host live bands and spin an eclectic mix of vinyl and digital tracks. Expect a DJ booth downstairs and live music upstairs, all served up with New York–style pizza and craft beers from Laine Brew Co. And because it’s not just about the music, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/deadwaxnorwich/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dead Wax Social</a> will also be a space for art exhibitions, community events, magazine launches, photoshoots and even podcasts. A very cool addition to the city, don’tcha think?</p>

<p>And <a href="https://norfolk.muddystilettos.co.uk/little-black-book/directory/the-little-school-of-needlecraft-north-creake/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Little School of Needlecraft</a> in North Creake has long been on the Muddy hit list for, well, anything craft-related. But founder Jolanda Rocklin has just announced some very exciting new classes kicking off in the New Year which will have art fans falling over themselves to join. </p>



<p>From <strong>Tue 13 Jan</strong>, she will be hosting <a href="https://thelittleschoolofneedlecraft.co.uk/product/botanical-drawing-classes-with-mary-maccarthy-tuesday-evenings-starting-13-01-2026/">Botanical Drawing Classes</a> with none other that Mary MacCarthy &#8211; a revered artist, author of three books, and the creative mind who worked alongside Emma Bridgewater to design her much-loved Rose Pattern spongeware ceramics.
