10 New Year’s Eve events to book now

What a year, eh? See off 2021 in style at a street food feast, warehouse rave or black tie gala - take your pick! Just make sure to book ASAP.

New Year’s Eve Low Bang Firework Event, Wroxham Barns, Hoveton

If staying up until midnight with the littlies is a no-go, then why not celebrate at a much more civilised time instead? These socially-distanced, low noise fireworks set to music take place from 7.30pm until 8, but you can get in from 4pm to enjoy the Junior Farm, fun park rides and food trucks. Tickets cost £60 per group of up to six people, and pre-booking is essential. Don’t forget to pack chairs and blankets for the fireworks display!

New Year’s Eve Party, Barnham Broom, Norwich

Tuxes at the ready for this swish 007-themed bash at Barnham Broom. Nibble canapes and sip martinis (naturally) on arrival before sitting down to a lavish four-course dinner prepped by the hotel’s chefs. Finally, trip the light fantastic to a live set from local band Agent Orange and a turn from the resident DJ before toppling into taxis at 2am. Tickets from £99 per person.

NYE Warehouse Norwich feat Chase & Status, Norwich

Ravers, don your face paint and start the new year right with the county’s biggest warehouse party, which features Chase & Status as headliners this year as well as a whole host of top DJs. Fancy dress is encouraged – now where did I put those moon boots…? Tickets from £39.20.

Black & Gold Masquerade Ball, Rooftop Gardens, Norwich

Live music, a casino full of games, a huge cocktail menu and a prize for the best dressed – sounds like an excellent way to spend New Years Eve to me! Pick up a Gold ticket to enjoy the evening party and casino, or upgrade to Platinum for a three-course meal thrown into the mix too. Adults only, prices start at £43.30.

New Year’s Eve at Street Feast at The Ffolkes, King’s Lynn

If you haven’t visited outdoor foodie paradise Street Feast yet, what better time than New Year’s Eve? As well as their range of delicious street food vendors, there’ll also be sparkling cocktails and local cider, guest DJs to keep the tunes flowing and a fireworks show from midnight. Be sure to wrap up warm, especially if you’re bringing kiddos, as this is an entirely outdoor event. Tickets cost £3 to enter between 5pm and 7.30pm, and £15 to enter from 7.30pm until midnight. Children under 12 go free, and you can book tables in 1hr45 slots.

New Year’s Eve at Byford’s, Holt

Always fancied yourself a wannabe Egghead? Then strut your stuff at Byford’s New Year shindig, which includes quizzes and games from 7pm as well as a special NYE menu (which looks mouthwatering, btw), and a glass of fizz to see in the new year. Pre-orders are required two weeks before the big day, so get a wriggle on if you want to book. £60pp.

NYE Spectacular, Ocean Room, Gorleston

The town’s long-standing favourite nightclub will become home to stilt walkers, neon dancers, fire breathers, saxophone players and more for their massive NYE party. Dress to dance – there’ll be a DJ playing classic tunes throughout the decades.

New Year’s Eve Soirée, Cosy Club, Norwich

A great city centre option, Cosy Club has two options for their NYE offering. For £15pp you’ll get a bar ticket, which buys you a table for the evening, a cocktail on arrival and a glass of prosecco for the countdown – or, for £56.95pp you’ll also get canapes with your cocktails and a four-course dinner. Whichever you choose, you’ll be able to enjoy live music and dancing, and props to take Polaroid photos with. Say cheese!

White Ties, Wellies and Diamonds Gala Evening, The Farmhouse at Fincham

Party the night away at one of West Norfolk’s best-kept secrets. Dress to impress for a drinks reception, three-course meal, and live band – and then crash in one of the hotel’s 46 bedrooms rather than fight for a taxi. £84.95pp for adults, £42.50pp for under 12s.

New Year’s Day Fireworks Display, Cromer Pier

Okay, technically cheating as this one is on 1 Jan (as the name suggests) rather than on New Years Eve, but it’s a great option if you can’t face the hullabaloo of the previous night. The show is once again lead by the award-winning Titanium Fireworks, and the town is set to be busy busy busy, so staking out a spot early doors is advisable. Kick-off is at 5pm, with a fun run on the beach and torch procession taking place throughout the day.
