Wow, whatta night!

The cocktail glasses were overflowing as we toasted the Norfolk winners of the Muddy Awards 2025 in the gorgeous setting of Park Farm Hotel & Leisure in Hethersett. It was superb to meet so many inspirational local businesses, and hopefully help them on their way to even bigger and better things. (From the convos we had, they’re already cooking up big plans, so watch this space).

During this year’s awards, over 20,000 businesses were nominated, a staggering 11 million people were reached nationally and over half a million votes were cast. It’s still as thrilling as ever to shine a light on brilliant lifestyle indies that make our lives so much more fun and vibrant. Hope to see you next year!

We partied in Park Farm’s stunning chandelier-bedecked private events space, the Colney Suite, for our gorgeous do. Sadly the weather didn’t play ball (grrr) but that didn’t dampen our spirits thanks to the free-flowing fizz and delicious canapés prepared by Park Farm. And the wonderful music played live by local jazz band, Mildly Vintage, who certainly added to the celebratory atmosphere, and provided some entertainment.

This year’s awards were sponsored locally by Flint Homes, a bespoke property search agency for anyone wanting to buy a new home here in Norfolk. Run by husband and wife duo, Phil and Bonnie Royle, who take the stress out of the whole house hunting and buying process. True champions of not only Norfolk but of local indie businesses too, the sponsorship partnership was a match made in heaven. As a thank you for their efforts, we awarded Phil with a bootiful bouquet, made by the Best Florist in Norfolk Charlotte Staff Flowers (and a cheeky bottle of red). Thank you again Flint Homes.

A Muddy party relies on brilliant local businesses to give it the desired zsush, so we send a huge thank you to the rustically elegant dried floral arrangement by The Parsons Wreath Company, run by mother and daughter flower power duo, Leslie and Katie with flowers grown and dried on their family land in Parson Drove.

Our guests set off home with our goodie bags full of local artisan treats (there’ll be no plastic keyrings at Muddy Towers). We say a big thank you to our contributors, The Parson’s Wreath Company for their voucher, Spill Tea for the tin of top notch teabags which we were all mainlining the following day, The Orangery Tea Room for their delicious cupcakes and to the Norfolk Melting Pot for their fragrant bag of hand poured wax melts which are just gorgeous.

And a huge thank you to our woman behind the camera, talented local photographer Josie Tate of Love Tate Photography, a dab hand at making everyone feel at ease (yep, these are all her awesome pics you’re looking at!).

Finally, a sincere thank you to all of you who took part and showed your support and love for local businesses in Norfolk this year. It’s your passion and involvement that continues to make our awards so different, personal, and relevant to our communities.
