A lovingly and thoughtfully restored 1950s cottage which packs a serious punch on the family staycay scale. With its adjoining annexe, Scotgate Barn, the entire space can accommodate up to 23 guests making it ideal for that special occasion or the multi-gen get together you’ve been talking about for years.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel like you’ve found a haven for your entire family. We’re talking oodles of private, enclosed space for kids (and dogs) to enjoy, an enviable garden – yes that is an orchard – a well-stocked fishing lake, all-weather sports court, large patio area for wining, dining and barbecuing, and that’s not even the half of it. Inside you’ll find a heated swimming pool, sauna, hot tub and games room with pool table, darts (and a bar). There’s seriously something to keep everyone happy here (we’re already picturing ourselves poolside with a glass of vino).

When you’re not all splashing around in the pool or practising your backhands, the cottage has three reception rooms to relax in; whether that’s by curling up with a book in the reading room, taking your coffee with a side of peace in the garden room or cosying up family style in the lounge for a movie night. There’s the choice of five bedrooms which each sleep between 2-5, and a swish and spacious, open plan, fully-equipped kitchen and dining area for entertaining en masse. Over in the recently renovated, adjoining barn, it’s open plan living a go go. Just as luxe as the cottage with a gorgeous lounge, kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms which sleep up to six and handy bi-folding doors which lead out to the communal patio area so you don’t miss out on any fun.

The vibe everywhere is home from home comfort yet luxurious – just because this is family-friendly all the way, doesn’t mean you have to scrimp on the glam.
