One of only five UK seaside pier’s with a fully working, thriving theatre, the Grade II listed Cromer Pier is sooo much more than an Instagramable local monument. Crowned Pier of the Year three times, the 151m trad Victorian seaside pier really is the icing on Cromer’s cake and we defy not to have wander along her whenever you’re next in town.

If the pier is the icing, then the Pavilion Theatre is definitely the cherry on top. Seating up to 450, the theatre boasts a rich heritage, loyal audience base and a rolling roster of superb shows and outstanding performers – hello Bradley Walsh, BGT alum Steve Hewlett and Danny Posthill. Hosting over 60 top quality touring productions every year there is always something fantastic to see with the 8m wide screen on stage adding that extra wow factor to performances.

The Pavilion Theatre is also home to the only End of the Pier Show in the World which of course refers to its summer-long and Christmas variety shows. These shows really pack a punch, we’re talking energetic dance routines, powerhouse vocals, acrobatic displays which defy the laws of gravity, comedy, skits, guest entertainers, audience participation. It’s no surprise these shows draw crowds in from all over the country and believe us, once you’ve been once, you’ll be back again year after year.

So you’ve had a lovely day at the beach, pocketed tickets for a cracking show where to wine and dine? Just in front of the Pavilion Theatre on the pier itself is Tides Bistro – a bijou spot serving crowd-pleasing fodder from breakfast until dinner. There’s also the Pavilion bar inside the theatre for refreshments before and after the show and at intermission to really round off an evening well spent.

All in all, whether you’re popping along for a show or enjoying a drink while watching the sunset beside the sea – you won’t be leaving Cromer Pier in a hurry.
