There&#8217;s <a href="https://www.nncocktailweek.com/trails">six cocktail trails</a> guiding you around participating bars across the city, which is perfect for sampling the goods and discovering new sip spots in Norwich. But, if you can&#8217;t wait until then, here&#8217;s our favourite cocktail bars for a night of stirring, shaking, and sipping.</p>

<p>This city bar is a stylish setting for many a merry rendezvous &#8211; Cocktail Week or not &#8211; with its cool marble and exposed brick warmed by plenty of bare wood and tactile velvet. Renowned for their impressive concoctions, the Kinda Bueno above is a chocolate lovers dream, so we are particularly looking forward to seeing what they pour out their shakers in honour of the week. <a href="https://www.instagram.com/jdoeandco/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">J Doe and Co</a>,  <a href="https://tipsyjar.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tipsy Jar</a>&#8216;s little sister, newly opened on Charing Cross this summer, is also participating and no doubt serving similarly delicious concoctions.</p>

<p>Nestled in twinkly Tombland, this newish spot brings a taste of the New York bar scene to your Cocktail Week revelries. The mixologist-owner has worked at a string of cool London cocktail bars and has twice been nominated for the&nbsp;UK’s best bartender so you can expect to drink well-balanced, properly executed cocktails whilst soaking up the soundtrack of funk, disco and acid jazz.</p>

<p>Located on top of a brutalist 1970s office block, the Rooftop Gardens has 360-degree panoramic views of the city’s best landmarks – spot the Cathedral, Castle and Carrow Road while selecting your cocktail. There’s heaters and a retractable cover outside, but if you&#8217;re not dressed for the October weather, you can still admire the stunning Norwich skyline from the warm and glam interior.</p>

<p>Dive bar or cocktail heaven? Gonzos&#8217; ground-level bar somehow pulls off both.&nbsp;A quirky retro setting which always has a party atmosphere, the cocktail menu is brilliant with plenty of classics and unique creations to choose from &#8211; wasabi marg anyone? The bartenders know their stuff, whipping up drinks with flair and precision.&nbsp;You can chill in the bar or take your cocktail to the twinkly rooftop seating area with heaters which pack a serious (warm) punch. </p>

<p>Styled as an 1820s apothecary, this bar is tended by chemists, rather than baristas, who are happy to prescribe you something medicinal over the counter. There’s resident DJ tunes at weekends and the theatrical concoctions served smoking or on fire will have you reaching for your camera with every order.</p>

<p>Cocktail heels and sequins at the ready for this sumptuously styled high-end bar which calls for glitz, glamour and a spirit of adventure. Pull up a canary yellow bar stool and try something new and interesting from its ever-changing menu of hand-crafted cocktails, using homegrown ingredients and unusual botanicals. Indulge in a Wake Me Up Before You Coco – a homemade choc, cream and coconut fest.</p>

<p>The light, bright and airy bar at Boston House is all about taking inspiration from nature. Not only will you find yourself surrounded by plants as you prop up the 100-year-old Norfolk oak bar and admire the range of liqueurs and spirits sitting pretty in shelves reclaimed from Norwich Castle, the syrups, fruit purees and infusions used in their mega list of signature and classic cocktails are all handmade. Talk about a labour of love.</p>

<p>Love the character of a speakeasy? Then The Drawing Rooms should be on your cocktail hit list where it&#8217;s Art Deco vibes a go go. Found in a former architects office there&#8217;s plenty of nods to its former life alongside the cosy booths, burnt orange, plush pink and deep green furnishings. We particularly love the dark wooden bar, parquet floor and the Old Fashioned&#8217;s if you&#8217;re offering. Cheers.</p>

<p>For a relaxed, casual vibe (and serving the kind of food you need to mop up some of those spirits) it&#8217;s got to be the Muddy Award Winning, Harry&#8217;s Soul Station. Perhaps best known for their cracking street food which originated from <a href="https://www.harryssoultrain.com">Harry&#8217;s Soul Train</a>, yet the permanent site on Adelaide Street is a cocktail lovers dream with masterclasses available to book where you&#8217;ll learn to perfect some of Harry&#8217;s signature drinks like the Coco Toblerone above. If all that sound like too much hard work, you can leave it to the experts.</p>

<p>After a decade working at The Ritz, Sebastian Taylor is bringing a touch of glitz, ritz and glam to the county with The Last. Found in a former shoe factory, and fun fact, named after the mould that shoes are made from, this buzzy bar is bang slap in the middle of Norwich&#8217;s creative quarter and serves up such artistic cocktail creations, the students at the nearby University of the Arts would be impressed. </p>
