Kicking it all off on Friday evening, five life-sized elephant puppets will stomp from Chapelfield Gardens to Gaol Hill and back, recreating P.T. Barnum and Bailey’s 1898 parade through Norwich. Follow the elephants back to the big top in Chapelfield Gardens to discover a thrilling world of side shows, circus feats and the rousing Band of Fools.

The weekend is packed with activities and events, some free and some not. Live music, food, theatre, circus, comedy, cabaret, cycling, running, fireworks, disco, funfair, art and a duck race. Phew I’m exhausted just listing it all, click HERE for a detailed itinerary.

The Go Go Hare Trail, Norfolk, now – Sun 8 Sept

go go hare trail

50 beautifully hand painted hares have been placed across Norwich and a further 18 are located around Norfolk to form the Go Go Hare city and county trails.

Trail maps are available from the tourist information office in The Forum and various tourist spots around the county. You can also download it from the Go Go Hare website.  New this year, an App which might even keep the older ones engaged  (the App costs £1.99 and Break will receive £1 from the sale).

Personally, this year I will be adopting the tortoise approach and eke out as many days entertainment as possible!
