Property flirt: Kia Manzi, Hoveton
When it comes to properties, a lounge decorated wall-to-wall in Muddy hot pink certainly gets my attention – put it on the waterfront of the beautiful Norfolk Broads and I’m gagging to get in and take a closer look. Luckily local Estate Agent Abbot Fox has let me have the keys so that I can do just that. Let’s go, shall we?
This gorgeous oak-framed, four-bed house was hand-crafted in 2005 in Hoveton, boasting panoramic views over the river. If that wasn’t enough, it also comes with a 45′ boat house and a 120′ quay heading (for the none-sailors amongst us, this means the length of the walkway between the water and the boat).
The main living accommodation is on the first floor enjoys stunning views out over the water as far as the River Bure, from both a wrap around balcony on the first floor and a terrace on the ground floor.
Floor-to-ceiling windows are fitted throughout the property, letting the sunshine (and views) flood in.
The open-plan kitchen boasts a five-oven AGA cooker in Claret with an oak vaulted ceiling and direct access to the upper outside deck.
All four bedrooms are classically decorated with either four-poster beds, Tiffany-style lampshades or antique furniture.
Both bathrooms are beautifully-appointed with roll tops in copper and brushed chrome respectively – check out the traditional Albion Bath Co toilet system in the third pic below (who knew anything so dull could be so gorgeous?).
Now onto the serious business… the price. What do you reckon? Scroll down to find out.
*You can’t buy a two-bed flat in some of the nicer parts of London for that!
