The Whelk Coppers, Sheringham

Nestled high above the seafront, this super cute flint-walled fisherman’s cottage-turned-café has some of the best views in Shezza. Yummy cakes and sausage rolls are homemade using local ingredients. Raining? No problem. The indoor tea rooms – lined with Indian Teak from an 1820 Royal Navy Frigate – are just as easy on the eye. Fun fact – the café’s wrought iron gates were reputedly designed by Walt Disney.

The Yard, Norwich

Greenery galore, monochrome accents and a big glass frontage – this friendly Norwich joint is oh so aesthetically pleasing. Having launched last summer in the site of the former Loose’s Cook Shop, which had been there for 227 years, it prides itself on its “good vibes.” Throw in delicious (and Insta-tastic) pastries from local Scandi bakery FråKost, and you’ve got your new fave central Norwich café.

Pretty bakes in a glorious bucolic setting – what more could your grid desire? Located in the former harness room of a lovely family-run farm, this café has a colourful heated shed for when the weather’s poor and plenty of charming outdoor seating. There’s also a huge array of intruiging-sounding different drinks – from turmeric hot chocolates to cardamom coffee.

Wiveton Hall Café, Wiveton

Lunch spots don’t get much more picture-perfect than this. With acid-bright furniture dotted over a wild meadow, the vast horizon rolls over the saltmarshes and down to the sea. Indoors, the zingy colourclash scheme is just as Insta-worthy. Wivvy Hall also have an in-house Italian baker who knocks out scrumptious goodies, such as cinnamon buns, and even fresh dough for woodfired pizzas. Save us a seat.

Located in Waxham Great Barns, just inland from wild and wonderful Waxham beach, this popular spot is the perfect place to refuel after a long, windswept stomp along the sand. The food is hearty, homemade and delicious – I can thoroughly recommend the Smoked Haddock Chowder with homemade Soda Bread.

With its bright pink frontage and perched right on stunning Wells quayside, Wells Deli gives you Insta options aplenty. Featuring dangling filament bulbs and vintage posters, the interior is also a treat – and the food looks fabulous, too.
