Counting the days until Christmas? We can help with that. Voila, five of the best luxe beauty advent calendars!
Beauty advent calendars have become ubiquitous in the last couple of years with all the big name brands curating their own offering. Yes, we know they’re expensive, but when else are you able to snaffle hundreds of pounds worth of (often full sized) goodies for half the price? They also offer a fantastic opportunity to sample different brands and products that may become new staples in your beauty routine, not forgetting it’s a nice little treat to wake up to on a chilly winter morning.
The best calendars are like gold dust to get hold of – Jo Malone, Net a Porter and Cult Beauty have already exhausted their stock for the year (the latter in under two hours!) – but we’ve found five amazing options that are guaranteed to keep you glowing ’til the night before Christmas (and then some), all available at the time of writing. Go, go, go!
The White Company
If you're into your smellies, this calendar by White Company will no doubt top your wishlist. Inside you'll find all the pampering utensils needed for a relaxed run up to Christmas including bath, body and fragrances from the brand's Seychelles range and four mini signature candles.
Space NK's second ever advent offering includes a Laura Mercier miracle translucent setting powder, Hourglass mascara and NARS blush duo. The calendar is organised into four themed volumes to cover every stage of the festive period from daytime looks through to events, the after party, plus Space NK's best selling products. Top marks for having 25 doors to open too
Missed out on Liberty's super-popular beauty calendar last year? No surprises there, it's the fastest selling product in the brand's 145 year history, containing over £600 worth of full sized luxury products and minis. This year Liberty has increased stock by 50%, but no dilly-dallying as the beauty line up is brilliant, featuring goodies from Diptyque, Byredo, Aveda, Bobbi Brown and more.
Clinique, Sisley, Dermalogica, Bobbi Brown, Lancôme, Elemis, Clarins, BECCA, Charlotte Tilbury, the list goes on. John Lewis has pulled it out of the bag again this year with 25 doors concealing £255 worth of beauty heroes (there are a few full-sized products hiding in there too).
I don't think Charl was concentrating in maths lessons at school because this December calendar only has 12 doors! We'll forgive her dodgy arithmetic just this time as the products are so fabulous. All the classics, including Pillow Talk lipstick, Charlotte’s Magic Cream, Eyes to Mesmerize, the works.
