Tis the season to shop and our recent consumer survey revealed that the majority of our readers are inspired to shop locally. Which is wonderful news as Christmas Markets and Fairs are the perfect opportunity to support ‘very’ local producers and get some fabulously creative and sustainable gifts for the family.
Norfolk is buzzing with Christmas Markets and Fayres popping up everywhere, it’s hard to keep up. If I’ve missed any please pop them in the comments box below!
Festive Fair, Kings Lynn, Thurs 28th November – Sun 22nd December
Taking place over four weekends (Thursday and Friday 4pm til 8pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm). Live traditional, acoustic and festive music will be on the bandstand including the Rock Choir and the town band. There’ll be fairground rides for little ones and adults can enjoy the artisan food, drink and craft stalls.
More than 120 local artisans and producers are setting out their stalls in large marquees, the backpacker’s barn and St Mary’s church. An opportunity to look for unusual gifts, decorations, jewellery, toys and books as well as lots of tasty food and drink treats. Entertainment throughout the weekend including live music.
Great Yarmouth Christmas Fayre, Great Yarmouth Minster, the Priory Centre and the Market Place, Fri 29th November to Sun 1st December
A three-day Christmas extravaganza with plenty of stalls and entertainment. The market place will host a large marquee and wooden chalets selling festive food and gifts. The Minster is home to unique handcrafted gifts and baked goods and the Priory Centre has been turned into Santa’s Grotto. Plus the Christmas lights switch on and fireworks (Fri evening)!

Bringing you all the best Norfolk food & drink with over 40 stalls to shop plus Santa’s Grotto and his reindeer, street food & Pop-Up cafe, Christmas biscuit decorating and festive face painting, crafts and hamper wrapping services available.

Global Village Christmas Market, The Forum, Norwich, Thurs 5th – Sat 7th December
Expect stalls with beautiful hand crafted gifts and decorations from all over the world. Enjoy mulled wine and festive food to the tune of a brass band and carollers.

Holkham Festive Food Fair, Holkham Hall Sat 14th & Sun 15th December
There will be live cookery theatre in The Lady Elizabeth Wing with a theme of ‘Game On’ – local chefs will be cooking up a storm, demonstrating new and exciting ways to make your Christmas dinner or Boxing Day feasts pop this year!
Redwings Horse Sanctuary Christmas Fair, Caldecott Hall, Fritton, Sun 8th December
Cuddle a donkey, watch Chef demonstrations from Nigel Raffles offering top tips on how to cook up the perfect Christmas lunch. Plus pick up your Christmas tree at the same time.
Modern Country Crafts, The Forum, Norwich, Sat 21st & Sun 22nd December
Panic, last minute gifts – pop along to the Forum for their Christmas Craft and Gift Fair.
Christmas Vegan Festival, St Andrews Hall, Norwich, Sun 22nd December
Norwich Community Choir and City of Norwich Brass Band will be the backdrop to this vegan Christmas festival with plenty of stalls selling gifts and plant-based Christmas treats

Snowflake Extravaganza, The Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Norwich, Mon 16th December
A festive evening (4.30pm to 8pm) full of lovely local goodies, carol singing, mulled wine/mince pies and activities for children. Join in the carol concert in the main cathedral which starts at 6.30pm.

Winter Fayre, Wymondham College, Sat 9th November
Featuring some of the County’s finest award winning artists, crafters, designers & artisans. Plus activities for children and free entertainment from special guest perfomer The Yarnsmith of Norwich – as seen at the British Museum.
Lots of local stall holders offering a brilliant range of unique and interesting crafts and products – ideal for finding those ‘original’ presents! Including Deco Diva, who specialise in hand decorated glass and ceramics, Kiddibox Surprise, who design and fill boxes for children of all ages made for all the important special occasions and Granny’s Little Charms – shabby chic handmade gifts and crafts!
The Courtyard Festive Fair, Elveden Estate, Sat 16th & Sun 17th November
In the picturesque courtyard of the grand Elveden Estate, there will be a weekend of Christmas festivities with over 20 artisan stalls selling crafts, art and gifts. Plus lots of lovely local food and drink to browse (and try) before taking home for your festive dining table.

Craft & Gift Festive Fair, The Forum, Norwich, Thurs 21st – Sun 24th November
Packed full of Christmas goodies from jewellery, pottery, plants, textiles, woodcraft, glassware, clothes, Christmas decorations and more. Four days of live musical entertainment featuring Norfolk’s Pavilion Quintet, Knightingales, Salvation Army Brass Band plus a traditional fairground organ pumping out Christmas tunes.
