‘ME’ Time

I've taken the Muddy Self Care test and it told me to book in for a massage at Imagine Spa - it did honestly!

Me time is a rare occurrence in the Muddy household. With three kids and three dogs, life is busy and when I do rarely take time out it’s usually topped and tailed with lots of selfless activities to balance my guilt. Sound familiar?

Time for a change – guilt be gone! I’m embarking on a well-being journey and starting with a Rain Drop Massage and Prescriptive Facial at Imagine Spa, Park Farm Hotel.

The Rain Drop Massage was heavenly – warm oil tantalisingly dripped along the spine and backs of legs followed by a firm but relaxing massage. The hot compress applied to the back was a great addition to the usual massage and certainly helped release any guilty tension.

The prescriptive facial was perfect for clearing out those Christmas toxins. I loved the warm flannels they used between each stage of exfoliation, treatment mask and massage.

I highly recommend going for a combined treatment. It lasted an hour in total, cost £70 and left me feeling both relaxed and revived – how does that work? With lots more lovely treatments and monthly special offers – it’s worth checking out the Imagine Spa, Park Farm page on our Little Black Book.

If you would like to extend your ‘me’ time – a leisure pass for the hotel is only £15 and gives you access to the pool, jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Muddy tip – if you can’t stretch to a treatment every time – an afternoon or a twilight leisure session is a great relaxing way to spend a few hours.

If you’re looking for more well-being inspiration – we’ve got all the inside know how on days out, spas, culture and shopping. Check out our ‘How to be Happy in 2019’ feature with ideas from Muddy Editors across the country.
