The Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade, Bewilderwood, Hoveton, Fri 21 – Sun 30 Oct
Spend the day exploring Halloween woodland decorations and listening to a special edition Bewilderbats storytelling before building and decorating your own lantern in the woods. At dusk, the lanterns will be lit for a spooky – and magical – parade.

Not suitable for children under 12 PrimEvil is Norfolk’s biggest – and scariest – attraction set within the Dinosaur Adventure Park. With five frightening attractions – including Carnevil of Terrors, Mayhem Manor Hotel, Zone 64 East, Forest of Fear and The Dark – attend at your peril.

Boris Karloff cemented his horror legacy by bringing Frankenstein’s Monster to life. The mythology of neck bolts, electricity-fuelled resurrections and brain implants gone wrong will run for one afternoon only at 1.30pm.

From undead zombie trapeze artists to fiery Mexican Jugglers, the 2016 Spooktacular includes English acrobatic superstar Billy George, who’s mesmerizing spinning wheel act catapulted him into the semi finals of Britains Got Talent.

Get into the spirit of Halloween with Hootz while discovering the grim and gruesome side of nature. With quizzes, puzzles, riddles, spooky crafts and a creepy crawly trail, a truly spooktacular day is guaranteed. Expect decorated pumpkins galore.

A host of spooky fun including Find the Witches Hideout, Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin, Fancy Dress Competition (come in fancy dress and get 50% off the entrance fee) and a Spooky Trail.
Bewitched! at Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery, Norwich, Mon 24 – Sat 29 Oct
Bewitching Halloween activities will be run all week at Norwich’s glorious castle. Make a bat or cat mask to take home, follow the spooky clues around the castle on a Halloween Trail, mix your own magic spells or join the Witches School for Cats.
Halloween at Holkham, Holkham Hall, Thurs 27 – Sun 30 Oct
There will be tricks and treats, adventures and plenty of fun for all the family. Dress for the occasion and be prepared for thrills galore as Holkham Hall and the Walled Gardens will be taken over with all things ‘spooktacular’ this Halloween!
Monstrous Masks, The Puppet Theatre, Norwich, Fri 28 Oct
Make your very own mask to wear trick-or-treating or to a Halloween party. The workshop begins with making the basic puppet form, then it’s time to let imaginations run wild to create a new puppet character to take home – for your own spooky show, perhaps?
The Spooks Express Ghost Train, The North Norfolk Railway, Fri 28 Oct
Ride the Ghost Train from Sheringham to Weybourne and back, and experience some dark goings on with a mug of hot chocolate. The Child Friendly Ghoul Train (for children 11 years and under) leaves at 5pm; and the Extra Scary Spooks Train (for adults and older children) at 8pm.
Cromer Pier Spooky Open Day, Cromer, Sat 29 Oct
A free event with a host of spooky fun. Attend Halloween crafting sessions, go on a Spooky Graveyard Hunt, have your face painted, join in the Apple Bobbing competition or play Pin the Wart on the Witch (love it!). The fun starts at 10am and ends at 4pm.
Norwich Pumpkin Rescue, The Forum, Norwich, Sat 29 Oct
The Norwich Pumpkin Rescue uses pumpkins as a prop to discuss food waste and suggest ways to eat it all. Pop along for some free tasty pumpkin treats, face paints, kids quiz, recipes and lots of pumpkin fun this Halloween (and let’s squash food waste – ha ha).
