Get ready for three weeks of events in Thetford including a Great Pantomime Dame Pageant (19th), Park Fun Run (20th), Folk in The Gardens (21st), Cooking demonstrations (22nd) and a performance of Mid Summer Night’s Dream at Lynford Hall Country House Hotel (25th).

Burnham Market Craft Fair, Burnham Market

Traditional, local and regional crafts will be displayed alongside items by local artists, designers and artisans on over 100 stalls in the centre of the village green from 10am. Don’t miss a walk around the Village itself, which boasts the brilliant Humble Pie deli, The Hoste Hotel and Restaurant – perfect for a cider on the green – and the .

Richardson’s Tour de Broads, Norfolk Broads
Get on your bike and raise money for charity at the annual Tour de Broads, the largest locally-organised cycle event in the region raising over £40,000 for charity last year. Suitable for all abiliities and ages, choose between five different rides – of between three and 100 miles – taking in 16 broads, four rivers and several beautiful villages. This year the official charities are Macmillan and Love the Broads.

Jazz in the Courtyard, Holkham Hall, Holkham
Holkham Hall and jazz go together like Easter and Chocolate – add free entry and a jug or two of Pimms and there isn’t a better way to wile away a Sunday afternoon. The Lady Elizabeth Courtyard is the setting for Norfolk’s very own Chris Cooper Trio with the opportunity to take a sneaky peak around afterwards.

Hunstanton Kite Festival, Hunstanton

Hunstanton Kite Festival is a long-running annual event held every August, with kite displays, air displays, a classic car rally, classic motorcycles on display, craft fair, kids’ activities and stalls all organised by the Hunstanton Rotary Club. Come down from 10.30am.

Pop-up Shops at Dalegate Market, Burnham Deepdale
Just one more week of Dalegate Market’s annual summer pop-up shops, hosting  four independent businesses a week in pretty pastel coloured beach huts. Independent traders, local artisans and producers – including food, drink, clothing, antiques, collectables, toys, art, crafts and home furnishings – set up camp for a week at a time at the back of Dalegate Market, which also has a great cafe. Combine a visit with a trip to the nearby beach for a wonderful family day out.

West Side Story, Norwich Playhouse

Inspired by William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story is set in 1950s New York City in an ethnic, blue-collar neighbourhood. The well-loved musical explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. Bernstein’s fantastic score includes Something’s Coming, Maria, America, Somewhere, Tonight & I Feel Pretty.

Summer Fireworks, Great Yarmouth Beach
Join The Heart Roadshow at the seafront for a final night of music and fireworks. Live music starts at 8pm at the Sea Life Centre Gardens followed by fireworks on the beach at 10pm. For the best viewing areas, head to the seafront Esplanade, along Britannia Pier or to Wellington Pier.

FoolHardy Circus, Wroxham Barns
The Fooldhardy Circus is back with their new show Ha Ha Bonk. Expect top class circus skills, comedy routines and lots of laughs to keep you and your family clapping for more. Help Cozboz the down trodden clown re-find his clown mojo from the master clown before visiting the show’s hall of mirrors. Performances commence at 12pm and 2pm and last 55 minutes.
