WIN: a relaxing break for two at a country manor

I’m so excited about this Muddy readers I can hardly type…

When I approached the spectacular Congham Hall Hotel & Spa for a competition idea, I expected an afternoon tea or spa treatment for two as a prize, but the lovely guys at this gorgeous Georgian country manor have pulled it out of the bag and gone all out to offer you the chance to win an AMAZING stay in celebration of Sundays (read on).

Firstly, about Congham Hall: imagine a country manor with gravel driveway, acres and acres of countryside, an in-house spa, a nearby golf course and a highly regarded restaurant serving afternoon tea or fine cuisine by a roaring fire. Got your attention? Thought so.

Now here are some pics to make you drool:

Then there are the rooms which have been fully refurbished in phases, with eight more ready by the end of April. The update will incorporate a contemporary palette to complement the manor house’s classic Georgian style, including feature wallpapers by Jane Churchill, paint by Farrow & Ball (who else?), fabrics by Sanderson and Zoffany, Wilton carpets and elegant illumination by Jim Lawrence Lighting.

The highlight will be Dandelion, a new honeymoon suite with its own sitting room and private balcony overlooking the parkland. Restored as a sumptuous love nest, it has been decorated in shades of teal and features a free-standing Kurv bath in the bedroom, Larkhall wallpaper and flowing silk curtains.

In January the hotel launched a fab idea for a package called Sunday’s are Meant for Relaxing, a nod to the one day of the week when we are meant to down tools and chill the heck out. The offer was meant to run until March, but they are extending it for one more month for the benefit of Muddy readers (told you they were lovely) so make sure you book before 29 May 2016 and quote ‘Muddy Stilettos’ when making your reservation.

Here’s what’s included in this Sundays are Meant for Relaxing prize – are you ready?

  1. Afternoon tea on arrival

2. A glass of bubbly before dinner

3. A three course evening meal

4. An overnight stay in a gorgeous room

5. A full English breakfast in bed – that’s IN BED. Have you ever heard anything like it? No filling in a card, putting it on your door and paying £5 for the privilege

6. Late check in until noon (this just gets better and better)

AND… wait for it

7. An afternoon in the spa with its large, indoor pool; outdoor hot tub and treatment rooms.
