Summer, Summer, Summer time – there are just so many things to do this week!

Dial M for Murder, Sheringham Little Theatre, Sat 3rd – Wed 7th August

Coming this summer to Sheringham Little Theatre is Agatha Christie’s suspenseful thriller Dial M for Murder. The play that inspired Hitchcock’s suspense classic weaves an ever-tightening web of danger and deception – and you can enjoy it in Sheringham’s cute seaside theatre. It’s a summer must see!

Mann Up, Gallery in the Lanes, Norwich, Mon 5th – Weds 7th August

Mann Up is a showcase exhibition featuring ceramics, textiles and fine art pieces by artist, designer and lecturer Mark Mann. Using ceramics, bronze and textiles, this collection is a celebration of the domestic interiors created by gay men in a time when that identity was illegal. This unique and moving collection is not for the faint of heart, but a must see commentary on society, its injustices and its pleasures.



Marianne and Leonard: Words of Love, Cinema City, Norwich, Tues 6th August

Norwich’s Cinema City is screening this years new incredible documentary Marianne and Leonard: Words of Love about the lives and relationship of Leonard Cohen and his Norwegian muse Marianne Ihlen. Watching this new documentary in the historic charm of Cinema City is a once in a lifetime experience for movie and music buffs, so grab a glass of wine from the bar and settle in for a evening of highs, lows and inspirational power.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Open, Norwich, Tues 6th – Sun 11th August

Watch out! The most Fantasmagorical musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang lands in Norwich for one week only. It’ll have audiences of all ages flying high with a mixture of madness, intrigue and exuberance. All aboard!

Jungle Book – Outdoor Theatre, Holkham Hall,  Weds 7th August

East Anglian theatre company Strange Fascination will be touring their production of the Jungle Book to several venues around Norfolk, including The Grove Hotel, Cromer on Sun 21st August and Bungay Castle on Sat 27th and Sun 28th July. First up – the beautiful walled garden of Holkham Hall. We went last year to see one of their productions at Woodfordes Brewery and the kids loved it!!

Rumfest 2019, Rumsey Wells, Norwich, Fri 9th & Sat 10th August 

The Rumsey Wells 5th annual celebration of all things Rum! A weekend full of over 40 of the finest rums known to man, plus live music, food, art and much much more.



Pop-Up Shops, Dalegate Market, Thurs 8th- Tues 13th August 

Nestled in the Norfolk coastal town of Burnham Deepdale is Dalegate Market, an independent shopping centre with regular pop-up shops throughout the summer. This month they are hosting antique book shops, homemade glassware, clothing boutiques and much much more! Don’t miss this opportunity to support local creators and retailers and find something super unique for you or your home.



Classic Ibiza, Blickling Hall, Fri 9th Aug

It’s an Ibiza alternative for us old skool ravers who can no longer justify a weekend partying in the gorgeous Balearic Isle (big sigh). Instead – pack a picnic and soak up the cool, chilled-out vibes at the beautiful Blickling Hall. Featuring the Urban Soul Orchestra and internationally renowned musicians including DJ Goldierocks. It might get you in the mood for the closing parties in September!

Bananarama & Heather Small, Newmarket Racecourse, Fri 9th August

Norwich Creative Market, St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich, Sat 10th August

The beautiful St Andrew’s Hall will once again be hosting the Norwich Creative Market, where you can shop for unique gifts, home decor, art and more from independent artists and creators.  With over 60 stalls of locally produced, handmade goods, you’re sure to find something you love!



Free Entry at Strangers Hall & Bridewell Museum, Norwich, until Sun 11th August

This is the third year that the Freemen of Norwich have supported free entry to the Museum of Norwich and Strangers’ Hall. Bring along a picnic and enjoying the weather in the courtyard at the Museum of Norwich or the garden at Strangers’ Hall. Wildlife Canoe Trails, Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden, Sun 11th August

Go wet and wild with Fairhaven’s Canoe Trail and discover the beauty of the Norfolk Broads! You don’t have to have any previous experience and all equipment is provided. Not only will you get up close and personal with nature at its best, all that paddling will be great for the bingo wings…
