Bringing you all the latest news and gossip each month – it’s what we do best!
Friday Night Live, Earlham Park, Norwich, Fri 22nd May
Exciting news – the team behind the Sunday Sessions and Let’s Rock Festivals have launched a brand new outdoor music event and the first headliner to be annouced is The Streets – led by rapper and singer Mike Skinner.
Norwich finally seems to be hitting the touring and festival circuit with some great acts heading East this year. The Killers will be at Norwich City Football Club on Mon 1st June and I’m off to see Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Thetford Forest later the same month. Keep an eye out for both Sunday Sessions 22th – 24th May and the Friday Night Live line up which is still to be annouced!
Darling Darlings Cat Lounge, Great Yarmouth
Opened last June, so technically not new, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it and I love anything a bit different darling!
The first cat cafe in Norfolk – this is not only a quirky retro cafe/cat lounge but it also provides feline therapy for people of all ages, needs and walks of life. And actually it’s the FIRST CAT CAFE IN THE WORLD to have their cats qualified by a vet so you know you’re in safe paws.
If you fancy a cuddle with your cake or a little bit of feline petting with your pasty, head to Darling Darlings and meet Teddy, Coconut and Stanley for a puuurfectly wonderful experience.
The Dial House, Reepham – New changes for 2020
The Dialhouse is shaking things up this year and focusing on what they do best – being a gorgeously quirky hotel with a unique shopping experience (you can buy virtually everything on display) and a superb restaurant. Sadly their all day cafe service is no more but don’t be too disappointed as you can still pop in for a mosey around the objets during the daytime. Lunch is now set between 12.00 – 14.30 and dinner between 18.00 – 21.00 (except Mondays and Sun Evening when closed to non residents). At the weekend, you can grab one of their belly bursting breakfasts and still enjoy their magnificent Afternoon Tea (14.30 -16.30).
WaffleOplolis, Kings Lynn
If you’re on a diet skip this section!!! WaffleOpolis is both heaven and hell for anyone with a sweet tooth! But we won’t worry about that – head over to the Saturday Market place in King’s Lynn and grab yourself one of these ridiculously scrumptious desserts.
Nash Falafel Bar, Cromer
Flip to the healthy and head to the Nash Falafel bar in Cromer. This new foodie addition to the seaside take away scene will be serving up vegan and vegetarian healthy street food alongside their own craft beer. Makes a nice change to fish ‘n’ chips!
