The Tannery

Muddy says: A visit to The Tannery is very much a sensory experience. My eyes lit up as I took in the rows of beautifully crafted leather accessories from gloves and handbags to boots and travel bags.

When you walk into The Tannery you are met with the fabulous smell of leather and a sea of vibrant colours which made me smile, thinking of holidays in the sun. The great thing about independent shops like The Tannery is that there’s always a story behind the product and owner Lindsay Furniss carefully sources all her stock from traditional artisan workshops across Europe.

With branches in Norwich, Holt and Woodbridge, the brand oozes tradition and craftsmanship. Lindsay’s eye for timeless fashion is spot on and it’s the perfect place if you want to treat yourself or someone special to something luxe but affordable.
Tactical couples shopping tip – there’s lots of loveliness for us ladies from hand stiched gloves, scarves and bags to footwear and travel accessories. However, even the most reluctant male shopper couldn’t resist a mooch around the quality briefcases, belts and boots. The heady mix of masculinity and style will defintely capture their imagination. If you’re up on the coast, we recomend you visit the historic market town of Holt for his and hers branches located on the same road.

The Tannery stocks a wide range of brands including The Bridge, Emu, Crockett & Jones, Roncato, Tusting and rather excitingly have launched their own brand of Italian leather hand bags – bellissimo!
Fine leather to give and to hold is their promise and if looked after properly it will only get better with age!
