No.Twenty9, Burnham Market

Hollywood glamour meets modern cool at this fun and fabulous restaurant with rooms in classy Burnham Market. The stunning coast is only a couple of miles away and there are six boutique bedrooms with a funky flourish of glamour. Licensed for completely wonderful weddings, too!

Weekend Escapes

Swish, sophisticated and fun, this slick restaurant with rooms is fittingly themed around Hollywood and musical legends. Housed in a gorgeous Grade II listed Georgian building, it oozes vintage glamour – with huge black and white prints on the walls and striking potplants peppered everywhere.

The six boutique (and unique) bedrooms are all named after stars who need no first name – Marley, Brando, Newman, Monroe, Armstrong and Reed. They’re each distinctly different, and equally plush, but all boast high spec features including underfloor heating, Nespresso machines and and private outdoor patio areas. Three of the rooms have free standing roll top baths in the bedroom, always good for that Insta shot, and just check out the Newman room – it has its own bath mezzanine!

All guests are treated to complimentary lush toiletries from Noble Isle, and – such a sweet touch – an exclusive North Norfolk Monopoly Board. You’ll also get complimentary arrival drinks which feature a special NoTwenty9 gin, distilled at award-winning What a Hoot distillers in Kings Lynn, as well as individual Edmunds cocktails. Grab the mini shaker and some ice, and indulge in a spot of in-room mixology!

The Armstrong Suite would work as a great family room – but seriously, leave the kids at home and enjoy some adult time. There’s even a concierge service that will help make a weekend getaway extra special – with gifts on arrival, picnic hampers and help organising local trips and activities.

You may never want to leave your room, but you’ve simply got to head down to No.Twenty9’s fantastic restaurant. Multi-award winning Executive Head Chef Jeremy Parke and wife Rachael have over 40 years of culinary and hospitality experience between them and the menu is wonderfully diverse, made with all the best local produce and prepared in full view with some great culinary theatrics.

Fire is their USP – watch as your dishes are grilled over embers, smoked, dipped or iron branded and look out for their bespoke ‘flambadou’. All of which makes for a full sensory dining experience. Not that hungry? Just go for deliciously decadent fresh oysters and champers – even the most comitted oenophiles couldn’t fail to be impressed by the ultra-extensive wine list.

The vibey bar is always great fun, showcasing a quite staggering 101 types of rum – rather fitting for a hotel that’s just a few mile’s from the wild and beautiful North Norfolk Coast. You can order all the classic cocktails, but we thoroughly recommend trying one of No.Twenty9’s more bespoke offerings. The Painkiller, anyone? (That one’s made with Navy rum, coconut cream, pineapple, orange juice and topped with nutmeg…and more than lives up to its name!)

Outside, the pretty courtyard really comes alive in the warmer months – with live music, Green Egg BBQs and woodfired pizzas. Which isn’t to say it’s not a glorious place to snuggle up on a colder night, too. The hotel is also nestled in its own lovely landscaped gardens, if you fancy a spot of peace and quiet.

Bringing a furry friend? Four-legged guests are extremely welcome here, and can stay in some of the rooms for £25. They’ll get their own blanket, bowl and a little treat from the amazing Eric & Dolly’s doggy boutique, located just next door. In fact, the restaurant even offers a special menu for your pooch!

Plus, don’t miss popping to nearby No.Thirty3 The Bakery for a freshly baked treat, or booking into Purely Polished for a spot of pampering. The delights of Burnham Market, with all its fantastic independent shops, are also right on your doorstep. So, what are you waiting for? Book the ultimate weekend getaway right now!
