Wouldn’t you though
The business card in front of me describes Miss Ella as an ‘illustrator, designer and fancy things maker’ but – on looking more closely at her website – I soon realise she is that and a bag of chips. From greetings cards to wall prints and from floor cushions to jewellery, it seems there is no end to Ella Goodwin’s talent. Jealous? Moi? I’ll say…
Inspired by fairtytales and folklore, craft and nature, Ella’s work creates a whimsical world of delicately detailed scenes and characters, like the lovely prints below. Ella also makes some wonderful furnishings, including throw pillows and oversized floor cushions, great for flopping down on and watching TV, or sprucing up a child’s bedroom.
Ella also dabbles – successfully of course – in jewellery making, like this beautiful moon broach:
If you’re after a necklace, there are several to choose from:
As if this wasn’t enough, Ella has just curated an exhibition of post cats that can be viewed at The Gift Emporium Gallery in Norwich on 23 September. Click here for deets.
Where can you buy this crop of lovelies I hear you cry? Well, Ella runs the Norwich Makers’ Market at St Thomas Church on Earlham Road – so put 26 November in your diary (from 11am until 4pm) – or buy online at shopmissella.etsy.com.
