Muddy says: Cottages don’t come much cosier, or modern, than Neaps, close to the village of Hickling near Sea Palling Beach. Grab the girlfriend, the dog and a bag of wood and cosy up in front of a real fire
Set in the quaint village of Hickling, with its dog-friendly country pub and nearby pristine beaches, Neaps is everything you’d want for a cosy weekend away with your partner, and more.
A one-storey country-style property – think terracotta-tiled floors, beamed ceilings, tongue-and-grove cupboard fronts, stable doors and duck-egg blue kitchen utensils – Neaps is both stylish and functional, with a newly-fitted kitchen; decent-size double bedroom; modern shower room with heated towel rail; and lounge with soft sofa, games, DVDs and said woodburner. Logs are provided – simply put your money in the ‘honesty rabbit’ on the sideboard.
The property’s pretty porch (which is great for storing soggy umbrellas and well-muddied wellies) leads to a larger-than-average, immaculate, south facing garden with seating and BBQ – perfect for enjoying an evening meal or cold glass of wine on a sunny evening. Secure hedging and fencing ensure that dogs and toddlers are safe to explore to their heart’s content.
On cooler evenings, toast your toes by the warming fire while watching a movie, or browse through the good amount of local information to plan for another great day ahead.
