Jimmy’s Festival 21-22 July 2018

Celeb Farmer & Chef Jimmy Doherty mixes up all the right ingredients for a tasty festival!

Jimmys Farm Festival

We love a festival and we love food, so hoorah for Jimmy’s Festival  – THE perfect combination and a Muddy Must for July! What’s more, the lovely people at Jimmy’s have given us a family ticket to give away and all you need to do is hop over to our Facebook page to be in with a chance of winning.

So for those not yet in the know, Channel 4 presenter and real life farmer Jimmy Doherty brings together his love of music and food and gives us middling hipsters the opportunity to party while lining our stomachs with some seriously great food – so very thoughtful!

This year the headliners are Paul Young and the Happy Mondays – old skool, we like!

Also confirmed are The Rats, The Bluetones, Marsicans, Longey & The Gospel Trash, Ashfields, MINT, Rory Hope and Tom Lumley. I’m sure they’re all rather good and although not A-list, it all adds to the low key, relaxed vibe this festival has to offer.

In addition to the line-up, the festival includes a programme of celebrity chef demonstrations in the Woodforde’s Kitchen hosted by Joe Hurd. Also I have to admit I’m quite excited by Children’s TV presenters Dick & Dom, who will be on the main stage on the Sunday!

The festival is just a hop, skip and jump over the border to Suffolk, and Jimmy’s Farm (it’s an actual farm) boasts a wildlife park, a butterfly house and an ancient woodland which will host workshops throughout the festival including den-building and woodland craft – kids sorted!

Jimmy says “We are buzzing for this year’s line-up – it’s the best we’ve ever had. It’s so exciting to be bringing this much new talent as well as incredible headliners. The whole event has something for everyone with all the added extras, especially the incredible food – where else can you hang out with meerkats one minute, and the Happy Mondays the next?!”
